Delivery & returns
How delivery works on Cupped, and your options if something isn’t right.
Last updated: 27 June 2026
Because Cupped is a marketplace, each order is fulfilled and shipped by the independent roaster who made the coffee. That means delivery options, costs and timings are set by each roaster and shown clearly before you pay. This page explains the general approach; the roaster’s own storefront has the specifics for their coffee.
Delivery
Who ships my order?
The roaster you bought from. If your basket contains coffee from more than one roaster, each ships their own items, so orders may arrive separately and on different days.
Delivery costs
Each roaster sets their own delivery charge, shown at checkout before you pay. Some roasters offer free delivery over a certain spend; where they do, it’s applied automatically in your basket.
Timings
Many roasters roast to order so your coffee arrives as fresh as possible, then despatch within a few working days. You’ll receive email updates as your order progresses, and you can track it in your account.
Returns & refunds
Coffee is a perishable food product
Under UK consumer law, the right to cancel within 14 days does not apply to perishable goods such as fresh coffee once it has been despatched. That means we can’t generally accept returns of opened or despatched coffee simply because you’ve changed your mind. This doesn’t affect your legal rights if something is wrong with your order.
If something’s wrong
If your coffee arrives damaged, faulty, or not what you ordered, you’re entitled to a replacement or refund. Because your contract for the coffee is with the roaster who made and shipped it, they handle returns, replacements and refunds directly — and they know their own stock and packaging best. Contact the roaster as soon as you can after delivery, ideally with a photo if it arrived damaged, and they’ll put it right. You’ll find their contact details on their storefront.
If you can’t reach the roaster, or you can’t agree a resolution, email hello@cuppedcoffee.co.uk with your order number and we’ll step in to help sort it out. None of this affects your statutory rights as a consumer.
Orders that haven’t shipped
To change or cancel an order that hasn’t been despatched yet, contact the roaster as quickly as possible — they control despatch, so they’re best placed to catch it in time. If you’re stuck, email hello@cuppedcoffee.co.uk and we’ll try to help.
Subscriptions
Coffee Club deliveries follow the same delivery approach as one-off orders. You can pause, change or cancel a subscription at any time from your account; changes apply to the next delivery that hasn’t yet been billed. See our Terms & conditions for the full detail.
Need a hand?
For anything about a specific order — delivery, a fault, a change — the roaster who fulfilled it is the quickest route, and the one who can act on it. If you can’t reach them or something isn’t getting resolved, email hello@cuppedcoffee.co.uk with your order number and we’ll step in.
