Terms & conditions
The terms on which you may use the Cupped marketplace and buy from the roasters on it.
Last updated: 27 June 2026
These terms govern your use of the Cupped website and marketplace, operated by Cupped (“Cupped”, “we”, “us”). By using the site or placing an order you agree to these terms. Please read them alongside our Privacy policy and Cookie policy.
About Cupped
Cupped is a marketplace that lets independent UK coffee roasters sell directly to you. When you buy a product, your contract for that product is with the roaster who lists and fulfils it, not with Cupped. We provide the platform, handle payment through Stripe and support the order process, but the roaster is responsible for the coffee, its description, packing and despatch.
Your account
You need an account to check out. You must give accurate details, keep your password secure and let us know promptly of any unauthorised use. You’re responsible for activity under your account. You must be at least 18 to buy from Cupped.
Orders and prices
- Listings are an invitation to buy, not an offer. Your order is an offer to buy, which is accepted when the roaster confirms or despatches it.
- Prices are shown in pounds sterling and, in line with UK consumer convention, include VAT where applicable. Delivery charges are shown before you pay.
- We and our roasters try to keep prices and stock accurate, but if there is an obvious pricing or availability error we may cancel the affected order and refund you.
Payment
Payment is taken securely through Stripe at checkout. By paying you authorise the charge for the items and delivery shown. We don’t store your full card details — see our Privacy policy.
Delivery, cancellations and returns
Delivery is arranged by the roaster fulfilling your order. Your rights to cancel and return, and how refunds work — including the rules for fresh food and perishable goods like coffee — are set out on our Delivery & returns page, which forms part of these terms.
Coffee Club subscriptions
If you join a roaster’s Coffee Club, you authorise recurring payments for each delivery at the price and frequency shown when you subscribe. You can pause or cancel from your account at any time; changes take effect from the next billing cycle that hasn’t yet been processed. If a roaster leaves the marketplace or stops offering a subscription, we’ll cancel the affected subscription and let you know.
Reviews and content you submit
Reviews must be honest, based on genuine experience and free of unlawful, offensive or infringing material. We may moderate, edit or remove content that breaches these terms. By submitting content you grant us a licence to display it on the marketplace.
Our liability
Nothing in these terms limits liability that can’t be limited by law, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or your statutory consumer rights. Subject to that, Cupped isn’t liable for the acts of individual roasters, and our liability to you for any order is limited to the amount you paid for it. These terms don’t affect your legal rights as a consumer.
Changes and governing law
We may update these terms from time to time; the version in force is the one published here when you place an order. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and disputes are subject to the courts of England and Wales.
