Lucid Coffee Roasters

Lucid Coffee Roasters was founded in Belfast in 2021 by Stephen Houston, after more than a decade working across the specialty coffee industry as a roaster, competitor and judge. The name says it all: coffee that's clear, expressive and easy to enjoy.

Everything Lucid does is built on transparency and relationships — from the green coffee they buy, to the way they roast, to the brewing guidance they share. They work closely with producers and importers to source seasonal, high-quality lots, roasting each one to bring out its character, whether that's a chocolatey espresso or a bright, fruit-forward filter.

Stephen is one of the most decorated competitors in Irish coffee — an Irish Brewers Cup and AeroPress champion and a UK SCA Roasting finalist — and that obsession with quality runs through every bag. Roasted fresh in Belfast, responsibly and with care for the people and places behind the cup.
